Mindfulness for Children

Mindfulness is very important for children. These days, so many children are being labeled ADD/ADHD and being pumped full of drugs that alter their development. I wonder if many of these cases are simply a need for us to teach our children how to be present. Mindfulness teaches children to be aware. Aware of their bodies, their surroundings, their thoughts, and actions etc. Being aware helps you to be less anxious, and helps us to calm down. Incorporating deep breathing ensures that your body, mind and spirit simultaneously relax. These are HUGE lessons to have in your arsenal as an ADULT! Imagine how beneficial it is to learn this as a CHILD?
